Not connecting the dots does not make for a good movie. Has the reviewers of this country lost their senses or standards. A story is something that is witnessed. Not saying... I don't like men... and we buy it. We have to see it, show us examples. Lets see the interaction of why he hates men, what they did. Where his mother/father were. Why he was so cold etc? All of this and more are not dealt with so when he comes off with this bizarre behavior it seems not just odd but ... what just happened?!? It like seeing a car accident but you never saw the other car coming or the driver being inattentive. Most of the Day Lewis character was like that. Meaness and you're not quite sure exactly why. And the character says... I don't like people but again THIS IS A FILM. A STORY. Lets see a few examples WHY YOU DON'T LIKE PEOPLE. Not mention is 20 minutes before you kill someone. Just in time for Cover Your Behind for Story Writing 101.
