I enjoyed this little fairy tale, not least because it was filmed in Lowell, MA, where I live, and I wander across the screen in the fuzzy background of one scene. I enjoyed watching Ricky Gervais' character, a man of limited imagination in a world ditto, grappling with Chaplinesque results with the immense power to change the world he had found.
The other actors had much harder rows to hoe, but they presented their tunnel-vision characters pretty well.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
