As a holocaust movie, I've seen better. In terms of the movie itself, the production leaves much to be desired. I don't think it was made very well. The story needs to be told...now and forever, but I think it could have been told better.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Complicated, but good

A bit confusing in its structure, which isn't helped by impossible sub-titling in scenes where everyone is talking at once, it comes together in the end to reveal a very poignant story about life in multi-ethnic Ajami section of Jaffa. We liked it.
Enjoyed the well-acted and interesting movie. The movie, set in the sixties, has to be enjoyed in that context, although the message of the movie resounds well. We liked it a lot, and hope you do.
This was a truly unforgettable experience! We weren't opera buffs(though we hope to become) but every thing about the show was above and beyond, and it swept us away. We will be attending other Met HD events in the future, based on our experience.
