The expendables was the action movie of all action movies. It fit the bill perfectly with its cast of legendary 80's action stars. Though the plot was seemingly thin at times, it doesn't matter.. because its an action movie. Its like asking MIchael Bay to write poetry, and not have a Giant Meteor plunging towards earth.. kinda irrelevant.
The stunts and the effects were very good, and the CG was very minimal, limited to the insane injuries and sick fatalities incurred by the bad guys.
Though some might consider the movie lacking substance in some areas, overall it was a great action thrill movie, and I highly recommend it for anyone thats been a fan of any Stallone movies (Rambo especially) or any other awesome action movie of the 80's.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
