If you have never faced a moral dilemma of astounding depths, you won't get this movie. Not since "Sophie's Choice" do I recall a movie like The Box. Both are about the dimensions of evil that can sear the soul, Nazism being blantantly so and the "opportunity to gain wealth" which is human evil trading wealth for another life which happens every day.
This is an "old fashioned" existentialist dilemma. It has considerable twists and unexpected characters (Zombies, anyone?). But maybe that is what we all are, unless we awaken to the responsibilites we have for not being so cavalier about our "it won't hurt anyone" approach to making ethical choices in our world.
