I thought this was an excellent movie. The only thing I would criticize about the story line is the typical big bad greedy corporation destroying the lives of the poor, innocent 3rd world people - okay "out of this world" people. And then, of course, don't forget about destroying the environment in the process. If you put that aside, the special effects and the characters were well developed and interesting. You are hard pressed not to be happy with the ending, as every holiday movie should be. The actors were good, but no Academy award performances. Please don't bring your 5 year old. It has quite a bit of violence, without the blood and guts.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
