Wait for the DVD, and then I wouldn't even bother! We love Dennis Quaid and Sarah Jessica Parker, and the movie genre is 'Comedy', so what could be bad? The movie, that's what!!! This is a not funny, didn't even hear one snicker in the entire theatre, sad commentary of disfunctional people and their disfunctional relationships. Don't waste your time and money.
My husband and I almost got up and left after about 20 minutes of X rated junk. Fortunately, most of that is over, 'most', in the first 20 minutes and then the story gets interesting, especially considering it's based on a true story. There is a reason for the bad beginning, that does unfold as an important part of the story. It was a fun, good movie... just not for everyone.
This was a fun, light movie. Nothing to write home about, but interesting with a few plot twists that you don't see coming. Was surprised at the ending, not what I was expecting, but made you talk about it and think about the possibilities and risks.
This is one of the best action, suspense movies we've seen in a long time. Once you get the idea that they're showing the same period of time from different points of view, it's really amazing to watch! Kept us on the edge of our seats, constant twists and sub-plots, tying all the characters together in one huge suspenseful plot. Great movie... go see for yourself... you won't be bored!
My husband and I are in our early 60's and he only went to this movie with me because we'd seen everything else we wanted to see. It was a pleasant surprise for both of us as the plot unfolded and it became a story with people you really cared about. Left us feeling good and enjoyed the 40's mood, music, and beginning of war feeling in England. It's funny, romantic and touching.
