Cute film for both adult and child. Don't think it would be fun for young kids, but is a cute story. Has a happy ending. Make sure to stay for shorts during the credits. Don't think it would be nearly as fun in 2D. Worth the upcharge to see the 3D version. Loved the rollercoaster scene.
We are old trekkies-loved the TV shows and (most) of the Star Trek movies. This film took what we knew of the beginning and stayed pretty true to it. The actors were well cast in keeping with what we know of them as grownups. It was fun as how they all ended up aboard the Enterprise. There is plenty of action, a little romance and a good story line. Must see in the theater on the big screen, and you will rent it when it comes to the little screen to go back over all the details time and time again.
It takes a guy who is set in his life, not happy per se, but ok with it all. Meets some unlikely kind souls and they give him a new perspective on life. He helps out, in unexpected ways, a number of people around him. He gains a purpose in his life, and has a profound effect on a number of the movie's characters. Not your typical CLint, but yet so. Great movie for Eastwood fans, classic car fans, and parents who are tired of seeing the teens that expect things handed to them. We will rent this one when it comes out on DVD, too.
go to this movie if you want to be entertained, but not think about the plot. great acting, great effects, but not even bordering on realistic-but it is perfect if that is what you want.
lead characters were well cast. loved the special effects. did the original series justice. loved beginning and end. funny, easy to watch movie. will rent this one when it comes out on video, to see again.
