Inappropriate and often crude? Yes. Worth seeing? Most definitely!!! We laughed throughout this movie and although I generally don't care for crude humor, there really were enough redeeming moments to make this more than just a silly movie. Neither of the main characters are realistic, but they make you realize that balance is truly the key to happiness; yes we need to work hard, but playing and relaxing are just as important. Will watch this again when it hits the rental stores.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Worth seeing on the big screen

The special effects were fabulous; the world of the Navi was totally engrossing - that someone can envision such an extraordinary place is always amazing to me and it was executed beautifully. A great movie pulls me into the story and time ceases to exist; unfortunately, this didn't happen with Avatar. There wasn't enough character development and dialogue for me to really connect with this movie, but I would still recommend it just to experience Pandora. This movie will probably appeal the the younger set and it's a good movie the whole family can enjoy at some level.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
