Basically a love story wrapped around a social commentary on corporate greed and misuse of the military-industrial machine. That said, Cameron is a genius for creating a fast moving plot containing a strong female heroine and enough adrenaline pumping fighting scenes to keep everyone happy. But the real "story" is not within the plot - it's the special effects. No words can adequately describe Cameron's world of Pandora. Well worth the money. Strongly recommend seeing it in IMAX 3D.
