A bit over hyped; good action flick but plot very contrived. Would have been nice for a Holmes movie if there was a bit more intrigue and logic in the plot and dialgoue, kind of what you'd expect from an Agathie Christie "who dunn it" flick. This was more just fun action than mystery\suspense. Fun though.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The plot has strong analogies to an alien "Dances with the Wolves" and rider\dragon bonding compares to Eragon, nevertheless, the world Cameron created was beautiful and spectacular. Anyone with an appreciation for the creative and graphics work to pull this off will be amazed. Each Nai've having their own character and style, and breadth of wild life and jungle animals incredible.
I agree with the other reviewer; Zoe Saldana should be up for an Oscar. The depth of emotion from humorous to agony, from hunter to companion, and doing much without seeing environment while shooting.
We loved it. Everyone who world on it should be very proud, and it should go hand-in-hand with other technically ground-breaking movies like Stars Wars.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
