I went with a friend and both of our sons and the adults, after about an hour or so, commented that it moved really slow. In fact, you didn't even know what the beast was or what was going on for a long time. This movie reminded me of ET so I can see why Steven Spielberg was involved. It was a space alien trying to go home. This just wasnt as well done as ET. They boys said they liked it and rated it 8 of 10 stars. It was just okay.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I liked this movie. It was probably the best one out there now. I took 3 young teen boys with me and it was okay for them to watch. Wasn't the greatest movie, wasn't the worst, just okay.

Good Movie

I took 2 boys to this movie because they had read the books and liked them. They thought the movie followed the books perfectly and they loved the movie as well. From an adult perspective, I liked it. The kids were very funny and most were very good actors. I would definetely recommend it for all kids. The theatre was filled with kids from 7 - 15 mostly.
