I think if you are a fan, then you are a fan. Harrison Ford is great no matter what he is in. So Indy is older now, aren't most of us!!! It was a little slower pace than the first ones, but common sense would tell you that he isn't going to move quite as fast as 20 years ago. I like the Indiana Jones movies, so I was thrilled at another release. Looked to me like they are setting us up for a series of Indiana Jones Jr. movies. Sounds ok to me.
If you were not a fan of the show, you probably would not like the movie. But as a fan of the show, I loved the movie. The only thing I would have changed is that the movie should have been longer. The 2hr 15min time really only touched the surface of updating the last five years of all their lives. So much had changed but you only got teasers of how they had changed. I have missed the show and would have loved a much longer movie. I was on the verge of tears through a lot of the movie. It was really great to see the girls again. I was really glad they got all of the original cast back. It would not have been the same withouth all of them.
