Please, oh, please Movie Tickets let me give it a zero. I thought this piece of utter garbage would actually be a pretty good parody like Airplane! or Epic Movie. Ah, no. Whoever said that this was boring and they couldn't wait for the end, they hit the nail on the freaking head! Plus, why would they make fun of 300? Yeah, sometimes it's cheesy and weird but I love the style and it's freaking awesome! 1 hour and 24 minutes of this diarrhea and not one chuckle.
No one sees these movies for plots, I mean come on. I went to see it for violence. It delivers lots and lots and LOTS of violence. This is by far the most violent movie I have ever seen. The fight scenes are so satisfying and made specifically for us testosterone-filled males. The casting is good and Stallone actually makes his war-torn John Rambo pretty believable. I give kudos to Stallone for coming back and making a champ of his iconic American hero.
Dear Lord this movie grabs hold of you and does NOT let go. This is emotionally gripping and chock full of suspense. This is really realistic and very well-acted. The use of a handheld camera is pure genius and makes it more believable. This took me totally by suprise, what an achievement. Brilliant!
As soon as I laid eyes on this movie I knew it was pure gold. This is one of the best films I have seen in a while. Of course you know Nicholson and Freeman are going to be great and they show it here. Yes, the plot is predictable and has been used before but this a prime example of a tearjerker, Reiner is at his best.
I would like to say that mooseman has given a very accurate review. Let's face it: the first two aliens and Predator are the only good movies from the franchise. We only come to see the fights but I must say that the first AVP was actually a suprise. This, unfortunately, is not. The movie has no plot whatsoever. The acting is horrible and so is the dialogue. It did not even deliver in the fight scenes which was the main reason I wanted to see it. It is composed of nothing more than " Hey, what was that noise! Let's go check it out! Look behind you! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
I loved the first film and I loved this one. I love the choice of alternate history as a movie. This Treasure has many twists and turns as well as action, humor, drama, and even some romance. The second installment has the same mood and tone to it as the first did but is also too similar to it. Turtletaub did not use Harvey Keitel to his potential but I love Justin Bartha's Riley Poole and it features one of the best car chases I have seen in a while.
I was absotuely ecstatic for this movie before it was released. I wasn't disappointed but I thought there would be more action. The animation is absolutely amazing, the voice casting was spot-on, and there is even some humor. I am very picky about endings and I did not like this one.
I was really excited for this film because it had been a while since a blockbuster and I love Will Smith. He was amazing in this role and gives a pretty good representation of what isolation would be like. I didn't like the end I wanted more of a cliffhanger and I wanted more action but it's worth your money.
