This movie was a really great experience. All the wonderful characters you remember from the original movie, with new adventures that are fresh, new, and of course funny. The new twist in this movie is the emphasis on the poignancy of growing up and what you leave - or don't leave - behind in the process. I laughed, but I also cried. It was delightful.
I thought this was a great adaptation, and I think the actors did a wonderful job. Daniel Radcliffe has really matured and I thought he did a wonderful job conveying Harry Potter's character. I thought the screenplay did a good job of hitting the important elements of the book. I went with someone who hasn't read the recent books, and she wasn't confused. The only scene I didn't like was the major scene which wasn't in the book (the Christmas day scene) Otherwise, I really enjoyed it. Definitely worth seeing.
