Amazing story-just okay movie

The story this film is based on is an amazing one. It is a true story. It David vs. Goliath in every way and David wins. It is a great story, but the film was just good. Matt Damon and Morgan Freeman are terrific, but they aren't in every scene. It seems that Mr. Eastwood has once again went with some new actors and it just doesn't work for this movie. Nor does the way the filming has been done. The camera movements and the random scenes with the security detail and Matt Damon's character's family seem out of place. I enjoyed the film, but it wasn't what I knew it could be and that left me a bit disappointed.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I loved this movie. Yes, it left out some parts I would have liked to see and yes it didn't have quite the dark feel I was looking for with HBP . . . However, it had plenty to make up for all of that. The add-ins fit nicely with the story as they have with each movie. The look of the film was magic. And if for no other reason, at least these movies are trying to be great. Most movies nowadays are just sad. So, to have a film franchise that keeps getting better with each one rather than worse (I'm talking to you Spider-man) is great in itself. Thank goodness for Harry Potter.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I enjoyed this movie just not as much as I was hoping to. I expected a lot more story-more John Connor not quite as much "action". Overall, it was a good film-just not as good as it could have been.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Every Other Hero Movie Takes A Back Seat

The Dark Knight is not only the best superhero movie; it is also one of the best movies I've ever seen. It has every element needed to make a great film. And each element is done so well that this great film becomes one of the greats. Heath Ledger is for sure a stand out. He gives his best performance by far and at the end of this film you miss him all the more. However, he is not the only one who deserves recognition. Again, Christian Bale gives the Batman and Bruce Wayne due justice. Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, and Morgan Freeman also bring back their wonder. And Maggie Gyllenhaal is a welcome addition. The story line is excellent and carries itself well. There was not one moment during this movie that mind was wondered or my eyelids struggled. I was in for the entire ride and it was a great one.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Another Will Smith Hit!

I really enjoyed this movie. Everyone in it; Smith, Bateman, Theron, are great. The first half is full of laughs (some uncomfortable) and mystery. Who is this guy really? Where did he come from? And why is does Mary (Theron) keep looking at him that way? The build up to the answers is fun and keeps you wanting more. It's when the answers come that things take a less interesting turn. The answers are great, it's the method in which they are revealed and the end result that don't quite mesh. The movie's ending will be both liked and disliked and one's choice will depend on their investment in the plot. I myself would have preferred a different ending, but I wouldn't say that I hated the actual one. I just felt like the plot was leading somewhere else. I would recommend this movie to anyone who is a Will Smith and/or Jason Bateman fan, and to anyone who is looking for something a bit different from the average superhero movie. Overall, I found this movie to be a great break from the norm and a pretty good summer movie!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This movie easily ranks third among the indy flicks. It has everything the other movies do-action, adventure, a little romance, mystery, and wit. The chemistry between Indy and Marion is still there and still works. Mutt and Indy (Shia and Harrison) make a great pair. And the alien undertone adds some extra excitement. Bottom Line: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is a great ride and you'll enjoy every minute of it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
