A moving surprise.

Rachel getting married suffers from the title. One would never know what an intimately complex movie this is by the title. Anne Hathaway WAS Kym. She WAS a recovering addict. Anyone familiar with addiction and recovery in the slightest will recognize the complicated relationships and the difficulties on all sides. I haven't seen Debra Winger in years, but her facial expressions captured the mother perfectly. This is one of the best movies I've ever seen. I'm not the type of person to say that lightly and I've never written a review before.
A word to Jonathan Demme - what's up with the music? Half of that would have been plenty! That was the only downside.
