I'm not sure what the other reviewers were watching or expecting going in to this movie. It is action from start to finish and well acted. Perhaps its my own background that makes this more enjoyable for me, but I thought for the type of movie it is (action/alien invasion) it was quite enjoyable and fun to watch. I would highly recommend this movie if you enjoy action movies. REMEMBER, alien invasion, not hooked to much to reality!

Better than I expected

I must admit that I went into this movie expecting a remake and skeptical that it could ever rival The Duke. This movie was not a remake and stood on its own. Obviously it had similarities to the original but was not the same movie and was very enjoyable to watch. All of the acting was top notch and made the story flow easily, I would highly recommend it!

Great kid fun!

We took our three year old to see this movie and he sat still and laughed through the entire movie! That's says volumes right there! LOL Seriously, very well created characters that people can identify with. The horse, Maximus, steals the show and is very funny. Highly recommend this movie for families.

This is the darkest but probably the best acted and possibly closest to the book Potter movie yet. We have watched the kids grow up quite literally in front of our eyes. The lead characters shine in this movie. Also, there is enough explanation of the past to keep the story relevant to those who haven't seen the movies. One large complaint, Dumbledore's funeral is not shown. The last movie did not show it becasue they were supposed to open with it in this film. Other than that let down, quite a good film.

Very well done

This is a movie that you know the outcome but still keeps you on the edge of your seat. Diane Lane does a magnificent job and as always John Malkovich is awesome. Highly recommend to any fan of horse racing and a family looking for a good family movie.

This was a fun movie to watch! The right mix of comedy and action! John Malkovich was awesome! Actually, the on screen chemstry was wonderful between everyone Highly recommend!

Exactly as advertised

This movie boasts awesome special effects and has some new twists. I was impressed with how they incoroporated bits of the video game, such as how Wesker moves, into the movie. If you go into it not expecting a cinematic masterpiece but a fun, special effects driven action ride, you won't be disappointed. Milla and Ali work very well together...both are good action stars!

A lot of fun to watch

Being a police officer, I throughly enjoyed this movie. Perhaps I could see the personality traits in all of the characters and apply them to my friends and co-workers. Lots of fun to watch and both lead actors are very funny!! Love the "yankee clipper" nickname

Mixed feelings on this one

This was a decent movie, fun to watch and an interesting story line. That being said, its tough to really enjoy an 11 year old girl using really bad language and killing lots of people. If you can get by that the movie is quite entertaining and will not really be what most people expect. It is truly a comic book movie, so remember that and see it for what it is and you'll enjoy it.

See it for what it is!

As I read most of the reviews in here this movie is getting trashed because it doesn't follow the first one or it takes liberties with Greek mythology. Yes, it does both, and does both very well. It is fun to watch and the effects are great. The characters are well-acted and believable. It is a fun ride and actually pays some homage to the original. My only slam is I would have liked to have seen more of the mechanical owl from the original! SIt back and enjoy the journey. It is a well told story!
