This was probably the best super hero movie since the first Iron Man. Chris Evans plays the role magnificently. However, Tommy Lee Jones steals the show with his wit and one liners! Great action, comedy and fun. Highly recommended!!

Well Done Ending!

What can I say? The end of quite a journey! The cinematography of this film is amazing and the story does follow the book with some artistic freedom thrown end. However, that freedom does not detract from the story. There are some emotional scenes that are very well done and will bring a tear to your eye. Overall I am sad that the journey ends here but can't complain at how well the story was told on film. I will see this film again in IMAX as the big screen is amazing! Highly recommend it!

Man what a ride!!

All I can say is wow! This film is non-stop action! It is amazing in it's special effects and the 3D is not overdone to the "ridiculous" side. I did enjoy Megan Fox's character but there is no loss with the Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and I don't just mean physically speaking. She is a better actress than Megan Fox and just as attractive. However, the point is the film has excellent action, excellent effects, is quite funny, and also has some emotional moments. The best of the three so far.

Fun to Watch!

Man I enjoyed this! I will admit to being a fan of the comic from my childhood, so I may be biased. However, Ryan Reynolds played a great Hal Jordan. The special effects were awesome and the film did not drag. If there is a negative it would be that the film is long on character development. That is necessary though if you didn't read the comic and aren't up to speed on the characters. I would highly recommend this film to anyone! This was yet another film my wife really didn't want to see but walked out singing its praises!

Still fun to watch

This movie was as expected...excellent. The story was good, not sure about the convoluted plot lines people are complaining about, I was able to follow it...hmmm. Anyway, you just can't beat Captain Jack Sparrow and Depp delivers the character superbly. The acting is top notch as well as the cinematography. Is it as good as the first, probably not. That is quite a standard to top. However, I would highly recommend this to fans of the series, you won't be disappointed!

People are missing the point

First, this movie is based on a graphic novel, meaning it's a chapter in the story. Of course it sets up the sequel. This movie gives you just enough character development to understand their motivation. Do you really want an action movie that goes on and on with character history? The action sequences are very well done and the effects are good. Paul Bettany and Karl Urban are great as usual. My only complaint is it could have been better with an R rating rather than a cautious PG13. I recommend it.

Interesting concept

Unlike a traditional ghost story and the leaps of faith required there, this movie goes further and looks for an even bigger leap. That being said, it isn't bad. The startle moments are there and quite good. The gore is not there. You will certainly jump at times. The "villan" could have been a little better. My only complaint is the ending. Not a fan. DId not like that the ending violated the premise laid down earlier in the movie about "being out of the body." Other than that, it was a decent scary movie. Not great, but better than the slasher films that have been coming out lately.

Only if you like stupid humor

I like Danny Mcbride. I think the guy is hysterical. He and James Franco are actually quite good together. Natalie Portman is awesome as ever. That being said, the humor is "stupid humor" and goes mostly for crude/rude. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to my friends that like it for a laugh. HOWEVER, if that is not your style, save your money because you will hate it (like my wife did). I have lost movie picking privelages for the next two weeks because of this movie LOL.

Not for little kids

This movie was actually quite fun to watch. However, it is NOT for little kids. The content and the language is a bit rough for little ones but tweens and teens can handle it just fine (mine are 5 and 3 and it was a bit much for them). Johnny Depp is quite funny and I laughed out loud at times at this movie. Leave the little ones at home for this one.

Better than I thought!

This movie was actually a lot of fun to watch! If you read the book like all films from books be ready for artistic freedom. However, I must admit that the film was well acted and actually somewhat believeable at times. I would recommend this movie and actually can't wait for the series to continue.
