Terrific opera. Wonderful singing and acting by Renee Fleming and Lawrence Brownlee. Even Mary Zimmerman achieved redemtion after the two dreadful productions she previously did for the MET. With the DVD sure to follow, I hope this opera will get better known. Congratulations to all.

Superb photography in 3D. Wonderful story, especially the first half. With some better editing, I would have rated it a 5. The final battle scene was too long and very predictable. Nevertheless, I enjoy the movie and recommend it.

The Met at its Best

Exceptional singing in La Cenerentola. Elina Garanca is a real discovery. Superb singer and actress, Lawrence Brownlee is a promising lyric tenor. The ensemble work was outstanding, credit to conductor Maurizio Benini.
