This is not your typical aliens attack film which is why I enjoyed it as much as I did. I'm not typically a fan of action movies or of sci-fi; rather, I prefer movies that make you think. This one definitely does if you allow it. My roommate, on the other hand, loves sci-fi and action movies but hated this one. If you're looking for sci-fi or mindless action, you won't enjoy this. If you want to see a movie that is very much an allegory of the way humans have treated different people at times, this is for you.
This was a fun little horror flick. Was not at all what I expected and didn't follow the standard horror film rules. It wasn't overly gory and told an interesting, unique story. I'd definitely recommend it!
Perhaps I expected too much. Borat is, almost certainly, the funniest movie I have ever seen. bruno? Not so much.
There were two or three scenes in the movie that were uproariously funny; however, outside of those few scenes, the movie leaves you expecting and hoping for more.
With Borat, all of the reactions seemed very natural and it was pretty obvious that it wasn't staged. With bruno, it seemed like most things were scripted and the "victims" just weren't that flummoxed like they were in Borat.
Overall, if I had it to do over again, I'd wait and see it on DVD.
I didn't think I'd like this movie because I've seen so many that I thought were similar, but, in the end, it turned out to be really funny and enjoyable. The only reason that it's not 5 stars is because they could have found a better way to have closed out the search.
This was a pretty good movie. I don't usually like sci-fi flicks and really didn't want to see it, but it was enjoyable. I'd recommend it - particularly for people who are into this genre.
