well made but depressing

Definitely a movie worth seeing in 3-D and on the big screen. Very well made, BUT I do have to say that I left the theatre somewhat depressed. It stirred up too many feelings of the downside of humanity. There was an odd sense of the humans being cartoons of themselves and the "aliens" being more human.
I also consider myself liberal about many things and not a prude...but is this what a PG-13 movie is these days...much more violent than I anticipated.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
