Well Done... but...

The animation and graphics were terrific and I nearly jumped out of my seat the first time "The Beast" attacked 9. I was a little disappointed in the characters, though, and felt the plot was too predictable. It may have been that they revealed too much in the trailers, though.
Overall, a good film, but I think it would be an absolutely awesome video game. ;-)

Enjoyable, fun night out with the kids

This was another good addition to the Ice Age franchise and I think viewers who skip the 3-D presentation will really miss out and find the film falls "flat" (pun intended). I think the writers struck a nice balance of "grown up" elements to keep the adults engaged while the kids are busy being entertained with the slapstick and schaden freude.
The animation was nicely done and felt finished and rich throughout. I did feel Denis Leary's voice acting was lacking something in this installation, but couldn't decide whether the blame fell to him or the writers. It didn't keep me from enjoying the film.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The acting was flat. There was no chemistry whatsoever between the characters. The plot was all over the place, and the editing seemed rushed.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
