This is one of the worst movies I have seen at the theatre.
My fiance have both read the book and neither of us enjoyed this film. The acting is terrible. The movie just goes from plot point to plot point with no real development. Everything is just "told" to you by the narrator.
I feel that a much better approach could have been taken to this material. I did not think the book was amazing, but it's an enjoyable read. I felt the novel would translate better on screen.
You never really feel the angst or tension. It feels like something you'd see on Lifetime or the Disney channel.
The creative team behind this film just didn't really care enough to put effort into this.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
