A GREAT, HISTORIC MOVIE. TALENTED PEOPLE THROUGHOUT HISTORY ARE IN THE BOOKS, BUT THE MOST COURAGEOUS, ESPECIALLY THOSE OF A DIFFERENT RACE, ARE OFTEN IGNORED. I AM AN AVID BASEBALL LOVER, FEMALE, AND CAUCASIAN. PLAYERS LIKE BABE RUTH, ETC ARE "THE GREATEST WHO'VE EVER PLAYED THE GAME AND TRUE, VERY TALENTED AND DESERVE TO BE CALLED "GREATS". I BELIEVE THAT JACKIE ROBINSON WAS THE GREATEST PLAYER WHO EVER PLAYED THE GAME, NOT JUST WITH TALENT, BUT WITH TRUE AND AUTHENTIC COURAGE. GREAT ACTING AND CASTING. LOVED THE MOVIE VERY MUCH!

This was a well written, well acted movie, on a subject that isn't talked about enough - mental illness or mental instability. It was also portrayed in such a way to give hope to those with this problem, and that there can be Silver Linings, even for them. A fantastic movie and one that I would watch again! Great to see Jennifer Lawrence win the Oscar for this performance!
