Wonderful Evening of Opera

Never ceases to amaze me how The Met Opera HD Broadcasts are able to combine an appreciative and enthusiastic audience, neighborhood convenience, comfortable seating, excellent sound and visual clarity with the Opera's beautiful performances. Hamlet made for a wonderful and entertaining operatic experience. The unusual thing is that we never heard Thomas' music before but it sounded so very familiar.

Il Barbiere di Siviglia started 15 minutes late (probably a problem with a storm and finding the satellite signal)and when it came on the sound was so loud that the entire audience had their hands covering their ears. After 10 minutes of searching for a theater manager we finally got the sound turned down. If this happens again we'll all requesting a refund!

Thankyou Met Opera for providing this HD broadcast. Now if they could only get the theater to turn lights on and off during the intermissions.
