I have to say I laughed at this movie as much as any I have seen in a while. And guess what? I never heard the "F" word once! It was nice to see these guys remember you can be funny and still not curse every other word! It was a fun, entertaining night out!
I did something I have never done before after this movie. I came home and sent an email to all of my friends telling them they have to see this movie! I enjoyed everything about it. Everything was of interest to me, the period costumes, the modern day shots of NYC, the cooking tips and the lovely story and humor. I appreciated the use of curse words more realistically than in most movies, just rarely when angered or surprised, not every other word! And I loved the honesty of Julie and her life as she turned 30. I related to the whole movie and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. So as I said to all my friends via email- YOU MUST SEE THIS MOVIE!!!
It was an ok night out with the hubby but not very imaginative. I chuckled once or twice. I felt cheated at the end when it turned out to be a practical joke from one CEO to another. With the world in the shape it is in it was kind of a downer!
Yes, I know that this movie was silly and made for the "tweeners" but as a 50 year old fashion buff who took an afternoon away from the day to day struggles of life it was the perfect escape. It was fun and I loved all of the color and fashions. It made me want to return to NYC ASAP!! No it was not deep or meaningful except for the fact we all need to lighten up and get away sometimes. And for that I give it 4 stars and 2 thumbs up. I laughed and left the theatre feeling better than I did when I entered and that is worth the price of admission!
Kung Fu Panda is a fast paced, fun movie that shows once again that the secret to success is in yourself not in anything you can aquire. It made us laugh and think about our own lives. It made the little kids in the theatre laugh as well as making us "old folks" chuckle. I would recommend it to anyone!!!!
It had it's funny moments and I do like Adam Sandler in general but this movie was too raunchy and silly for my taste. The message that we can all get along if we talk and just refuse to fight over everything was good but the stupidity and gross humor overshadowed any intentional moral to the story!! I would not recommend this to anyone I know- I would be embarrassed to tell anyone I went to see it!!!
