I love the new Star Trek movie! It has everything a very good sci-fi/'space movie' should have. Importantly, it successfully reinvents Star Trek - a huge accomplishment.
So glad and relieved this movie is this good. The past decade was a troubled time for Star Trek. Against big odds, this movie is great.
This is a bit of a different take on Star Trek. It messes with The Legend some, but that’s ok. And no big visionary message. The driving force is a very primitive, human one- acted out by aliens. That's also always been a Star Trek hallmark. Doing very human stuff in outer space.
The result is a wild ride that makes for a perfect summer blockbuster, a Trek movie that ranks with the best of them. Trek’s Back!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
