Beware expectations

Not as exceptional a film as I was expecting. A nice idea, magnificently executed, but I was not enthralled by the story. I did enjoy the dog, as acted by Uggie. Wish I could have seen it before hearing so many rave reviews - it just didn't live up to the hype...
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Effects unnecessary

A good finale to the Potter series, rates excellent mainly because of the overall effect of the entire series. This movie could be confusing as a stand alone, but it's hard to imagine anyone not having seen the previous films. Very active, indeed some of the battle scenes are a bit much. Imax and 3D are overkill, and not necessary with such a good story. There were occasional touches that were nice in 3D, but nothing pertinent. An excellent summer movie, and lives up to the hype.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Who could have guessed that Owen Wilson plays a perfect young Woody Allen!? This film transported us for a charming hour and a half to Paris. With willing suspension of disbelief, the story spins out with less plot than situation, but is thoroughly enjoyable. Corey Stoll's Ernest Hemingway alone is worth the price of admission.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
