This was my first exposure to the story line as I have not seen the cartoons. The visual effects were great, as most are now that computer generated effects have become the norm. The story was broken and disjointed. The characters seemed like they could have been developed much more. Since they were not, the viewer never got to understand them fully. The relationships between the major characters and the motivations were practically non-existant. I do not recommend this movie if you are a fan of the cartoon series, as I believe that you would be dissapointed. I also do not recommend this movie if you never saw the cartoon series, as there seems to be little substance in what could have been a very deep and moving story. What a waste.

This was a very wonderful movie experience with the 3D format. The storyline was good but the special effects were fabulous. An enjoyable experience.
