Exceptional Film

Outstanding in so many ways that I'm at a loss to list them. Moved right to my Top Ten Movies of all time. If you put Script at the top of your list, and want to see actors "not" acting, this is definitely a must-see film for you. Hats off to writer-director Lisa Cholodenko. The real shocker, however, is that she is not already lined up for a new project (according to imdb.com). Hollywood - hello??????
Yes, I recommend this movie.

IMAX Sound Levels

I'm not sure who is ultimately responsible for the sound levels at IMAX, but let's say for starters that its the distributor who decides. And let's say they set "8" as the level (out of ten). Does AMC Empire management have the discretion to turn it down some, especially when the theatre is less than 1/3 occupied as it was at 1:10pm yesterday? I fled after 15 minutes; and although service desk was very accomodating and refunded me, I would have been much happier to have seen StarTrek at less than "assaultive" sound levels. I had to check Y or N above, but I do so only because of the total disregard for the audience's comfort.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
