Didn't live up to the hype....

Althought the special effects and cinemetography were visually stimulating, this movie disappointed - maybe because we waited to see it until we had heard too much hype. The (human) characters were over the top, especially the vengeance seeking military guy and the stereotyped money hungry but morally vapid corporate CEO played by Giovanni Ribisi. We saw the movie in 3D, and the glasses were really uncomfortable and distracting from the movie. I had to take them off several times. Overall, I would give this move a "B," which is not bad but a far cry from the "Movie of the Year" reviews I have heard. Just lower your expectations and you are bound to have a pleasant experience.
