Beverly Cleary must be pleased!!

As a huge childhood fan of all of Beverly Cleary's work, I had a definite image of the characters in the Beezus and Ramona story. Ramona was perfect!! She was spot on of how I would have expected Ramona to be! The movie was fantastic -- funny, well acted and stayed true to the original stories! i went with my 20 year old daughter, who also is a big fan of Beverly Cleary. We both agreed that this is a must see movie for anyone who likes Cleary's work, as well as those interested in wholesome entertainment. We did NOT miss seeing body humor, unnecessary sexual innuendo and the like. It was great!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The reviews I read prior to seeing this movie made it sound like a waste of time. It was actually pretty cute and an enjoyable way to pass a couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon! The all star cast makes it extra interesting -- we were counting all of the crossover actors from The Princess Diaries! It is certainly not deep and there is no life lesson to be had, but it is a fun "chick flick"!

This is one of the best movies I have ever seen! Such a great story -- tugs at your heart and leaves you cheering for Oher!! I have seen it twice and would pay AGAIN to see it!
