Being a big X-Files fan of the TV Show and the first movie, I had a lot of hopes for this movie. I was worried after reading how the actors had trouble getting back into the characters. There were certain aspects of the TV Show's story and characters that I was hoping would be in the movie like William, Doggett and Reyes. Amanda Peet was fun to watch as always, though. There was one scene towards the beginning that I was happy with, but before and after that I was a disappointed. I live in Richmond, VA and the audience found it funny when Mulder and Scully went to Richmond and our city looked like Minnesota or Vancouver (where the movie was filmed). If we had that much snow, everyone in Richmond would be panicking!!
I enjoyed this movie and was not expecting much beyond a fun summer movie to escape the heat. I did not see the 3D version and could tell that the movie and most scenes were set up to use the 3D effects. The glowing bird in the poster was cool.
Wall-E was great and was better than I thought it would be. I love the Pixar films, so I was very happy with this movie. There is actually a story and a subplot and the animation/live action mix was very well done.
Plus, Wall-E, Eve, M-O and all the other robots have great personalities. Wall-E really felt like he has a soul and cares about Hal the bug and Eve.
The kids in the theater (including the boy next to me who kept asking if that was Wall-E whenever Wall-E came on screen) loved the movie, but the adults loved the movie more for the way the story evolved. Best movie of the summer.
I really enjoyed this movie and I am glad that the movie feels and looks like it belongs with the other 3 movies. The nods to characters and events from the other movies was fun to look for and notice. A must-see for Indy fans and it is a good way to spend two hours away from the real world!
