We have been tremendous fans of the Pirates of the Caribbean series and have enjoyed them all.....until now. This movie is not even close to as good as the previous offerings. It is very weak and the plot is a stretch......cloudy and cluttered. Penelope Cruz was miscast in the role of Blackbeard's daughter. The change in director from Gore Verbinski to Rob Marshall is evident. Marshall just didn't have the vision of Verbinski. Overall it's just a murky tale and we were very disappointed. It's just a mess.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

This was a great option for those of us that were unable to make the trip to Indianapolis and who love drumcorps. I agree, that there were far too many camera changes. I would have preferred the panorama view to take in the full scope of the visual marching. The air conditioned seating in the cinema was comfortable and the full service dining and beverage menu was a plus (although I did not utilize it). I would definitely attend again.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

It was a good movie. The basic premiss of the story is nothing new....good vs. evil, boy falls in love, sees the evil of his ways, moves to the side of good, helps good, defeats evil, lives happily everafter. The creatures, colors, and effects were very well done. 3D could have been better (if you have ever seen the 3D effects offered at Disneyworld). Overall, I would recommend this movie. It was very entertaining.
