Great for the kids...

I don't know much about SciFi; but my son watches the cartoon; and was thrilled with the movie. He felt it was inline with the story line of the cartoon; and can't wait for the sequel. As a parent I found it entertaining; and was able to stay awake throughout the movie.
So I say, if you're looking for a good opportunity to spend time with your 9-12 year old little boy, go for it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I truly enjoyed the movie. I feel that the cast selection was the best yet in a TP movie. Woodard and Bates was a perfect match, no one could have done it better.
