I was highly suspicious

I was wondering how they would pull ths off. The cast seemed like such pups. Of course you must willingly suspend some belief, the speed at which Kirk advances and some glaring examples of convinient plot twists- but hey - it's Star Trek - not Black Hawk Down.
I can say, it is NOT the usual Paramount shoe string budget.
