This was almost everything a Batman movie should be. It was grim, scary, and clever. The Joker moved with too little rhyme and reason for me, but nonetheless, this is quite simply the most terrific portrayal of Batman ever to hit the scene.
"I would recommend this movie to a friend" does not adequately describe this film.
I would recommend this movie to my enemies and if they were my prisoner, I would force them to watch it. If I was their prisoner, I would beg to watch it before death.
I loved this film. It was zany, silly, and held it's own with the old TV series.
I could not get enough of Alan Arkin as the Chief, and Anne Hathaway steals the show as 99 for a large part of the movie, but nonetheless, I really loved it.
A testament to it's greatness is that my almost eighty year old parents also loved it, and I'm half their age.
