A very simple idea of a movie in which the world prepares for its end and politics shows its ugly head..Mankind shows that they it can be both human and inhuman and science points the way to salvation..
The action generated by modern movie magic certainly appears real as the world falls apart, literally . The characters were a little hollow but there is a limited time to reveal any great depth. You will recognize the true flavor of the human soul as you see the movie unfold that maybe the focus on character depth is not needed.
My advice, " don't sit at the front of the theater" Cusack is his lovable self. Freedman a good president and appearances from Harrelson and Segal are a little light.
