An Okay Movie

This movie could've been great. The action scenes were really amazing and fun to watch, however, there was no story. Three screenwriters and no plot. It was pretty unbelievable. If this story would've had a story and all the action it would've been great, but I literally had no clue what was going on the whole movie. I did know however, there was going to be an amazing action sequence about every 10-15 minutes.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

HORRIBLE GARBAGE

Well, they got the title right. What a piece of GARBAGE. These people should never be allowed to make another movie again. DeNiro is an official sell out. Please don't waste $26 on two tickets & more importantly 1 hour and 50 minutes of your life like I did. These self-loving Hollywood moviemakers have made another piece of trash & are SO far out of touch w/ society or what is remotely funny. Movie sales are down 35% from last year. Why? Because of economic times? NO. It's be/c of horrible trash like this where we get to see a scene of dog & Sean Penn being killed 10 times & then non-stop arguing over a beard. A beard!

Pretty Good Movie

This was a good movie w/ the exception of DiCaprio's terrible Southern accent, which was so distracting. As a Southerner now in LA for 6 years, I can't get over how many actors have terrible accents. Can't these multi-million dollar actors & studios afford a dialect coach??? Crowe did a good Virginian accent. For women, there is 1 violent scene that is a little tough to watch, but overall it was an interesting movie although the friendship DiCaprio has with the Middle Eastern woman was totally unrealistic from what I know about Middle Eastern culture and women's rights. The Middle Eastern charater Hami Salam did a fantastic job & is a great actor. It was a long movie, but it held my attention. Crowe is great as always.

THE WORST MOVIE OF 2008

My boyfriend and I debated, and we agree this is the worst movie of 2008 including What Happens In Vegas. It is HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE! What a total disappointment. Seth Rogen is definitely no screenwriter. Apatow had two hits with Sarah Marshall and Knocked Up. The rest were a string of failures, and this is one to add to the pile. It's not funny. The acting is overblown and ridiculous. The plot isn't good. And the usual shock value stuff was thrown in. We both ended up leaving before the movie ended. I still can't figure out why other people are rating this movie so highly. Please, save your money and avoid this movie.

Enjoyable Movie

This movie had some really funny moments. The romance between Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway wasn't really believable and the movie was too long. Overall, it was a pretty good movie.

The Perfect Movie

This movie was so wonderful. I laughed. I cried multiple times. It was the cathartic experience that I needed. I can't remember when I've had such a good cry. It was realistic. It was just perfect. What a wonderful experience!!!

It's An Okay Movie

It's an okay movie. It starts out good, but as it goes on it gets cheesier and more ridiculous concerning the stunts and the storyline. There is plenty of action, which pretty much keeps your attention even though the plotline is a completely mangled mess and the whole "aliens" theme is just silly. I didn't start to become restless until about 20 minutes from the end. This movie isn't horrible, but it's certainly not great either. I'd probably wait for DVD if I had it to do over again.

Save Your Money - Avoid This Disappointment

This movie was really disappointing. It was too long. It had some funny moments, but a few funny moments do not add up to a 2 hour movie. They spent half the movie fighting. I felt like I was watching The Break-Up or How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days with different actors. If I wanted to watch a couple fight for an hour, I could stay at home and fight with my boyfriend for free. And the entire plot line of two attractive, nice people winning a huge amount of money and hating each other for no reason makes no sense at all. This was a mediocre movie, which will trick many people into going because it carries the names of Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher. I am so upset we paid to see this cr*p. They should've paid us to watch this mess.
