It covered very well and effectively many of the theories and reported experiences around near and post-death experiences. Dramatically strong and gripping. All roles were very well cast, with special cudos to the young twins.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Lacked strong feelings in the book

Julia Roberts is always a delight, but overall the movie left me empty. "Eat" lacked the sensuality; "Pray" lacked the inspiration and lessons; and "Love" lacked the heart connection of the book. I am usually very forgiving of movies made from books I have read. Much as I wanted to be swept away, I was not. I found myself wondering when it would be over! A sure sign of its having "missed the boat"!
No, I do not recommend this movie.
