Passable, but lacks character development/emotion

Like a movie critic once said, "Too much wow, not enough ow". Though the effects are great, the characters seem very shallow and stiff. It seems as if at every turn the director is saying, "Okay, you should be feeling the character's emotion by now, let's move on" before anything actually happens. Arnold's intensity of character -- beyond all special effects -- is what made the original Terminators a success, and he has left some pretty big shoes to fill.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
