Legion needs help

Good special effects but the plot has a lot of holes in it and relies (unsucessfully) on prequeal information in the graphic novels. Wait for the other movies in the series and see them all (I guess) on DVD, but give Legion a pass at the theater.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant

A little more juvenile than I expected, this movie is a good time. Somewhat predictible but, while the title character is 15-17, there is a lot more plot that seems centered around the 13-15 demographic (but, thankfully, no bathroom humor). Riley as the vampire gives a good, slightly understated, performance of a world-weary traveler.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
