This movie was a billion times more entertaining that it should have been.
It had the thinnest plot imaginable, and yet Will Ferrell, John C Reilly and their fellow cast members kept you laughing with a constant stream of absurd outbursts and physical knocks.
Adam Scott was also especially funny as Will Ferrell's smarmy younger brother.
I would recommend you go into this film with zero expectations and a need to laugh your heart out for a couple of hours.
Reuniting the funniest SNL alumni since the '90s was always going to make for an entertaining film, and this film has the laughs you'd expect - especially from Poehler's white trash Angie. That being said, the movie is let down by a predictable, cheesy Hollywood ending that you see coming a mile off. It's not cheesy enough to ruin the film, which has superb turns by its cast and a wealth of quotable one-liners.
