"Man of Steel" satisfies on so many levels, particularly with fleshing out the Krypton origin story, and setting the stage for the wrath that follows Kal-El to Earth. The actors are all exceptional, and - most importantly - believable! The only problem with a film like this is that you simply don't want it to end - especially considering the way it wrapped up. The film did not address the near-destruction of Metropolis, nor did it resolve whether or not Lois Lane 'knew' Clark Kent, so we'll have to wait to see how the story continues. "Man of Steel" is exciting, breath-taking at times, and satisfies the long absence for Superman on the screen. Thank GOD for Superman! (4 1/2 Stars!)

The IMAX 3D version of "The Hobbit" was an amazing experience. We are whisked away into Middle Earth with wonderful, memorable characters, a story wrapped in a world unlike any other, and vistas and underworlds that are breathtaking. I had low expectations for this film because I did not believe that Director Peter Jackson could even come close to his masterpiece, "The Lord of the Rings" Trilogy. But if this first film is any indication, he has taken the time to fashion a film of equal depth and appeal! Congratulations to a great cast, great storytelling, and images that will haunt you long after you've left the theater.

"Prometheus" definitely lived up to its terrific movie trailer, as it was gripping and thought-provoking from beginning to end. A fine cast of actors was believable, if not heroic, and led to a stunning climax. Can't WAIT for the next chapter leading up to the events of the original "Alien" classic. Don't miss this flick - and don't hold your popcorn while watching it or it'll end up all over your neighbor's lap! Like mine did!
