This movie is ok at best and I'm being generous. There were some funny parts, but the movie trailers on TV told all. Good lead actors, but their characters just didn't have that oomph. The worst part of the movie is when the girls get together and justify the indiscretions of Meryl's character. It's stuff like this that influences women to bind together and justify that kind of mess in real life (I know first hand; I now have an ex-girlfriend for a sister-in-law; I'd put my next paycheck on it that every one of her girls {family included} helped her with that one). What happen to being truthful in movies or real life? The best part to me was watching Meryl and Steve Martin's characters when they were high. That had me rolling.
The movie was 'alright'. It was too predictable for me, the story line was alright and you could see the plot and the plot's end coming a mile away. Sarah J.P. is not one of my most favorite actresses, but I am always amazed at how sexy her walk is. If her acting was as attractive as her walk, she'd be great. Hugh Grant on the other hand played the ultimate 'girly-man' role that I have witnessed to date. I saw women in the theater getting annoyed at his no spined, no testis role of a forever apologizing kiss-up who actually had the nerve to be upset with his wife for having a physical liaison when they were split (not saying that was right of her, but wasn't it his action of infidelity that possibly spurned the her reaction of the same)!
The Zohan was a good movie. It pushed all envelopes regarding stereotyping of a race and yet came off positive about the point vice all the stereotyping. Very good directing and producing.
Con: Again, a guy us using his YKW as a tool to get something with wreckless abandon... It seems like no matter what happens in a movie, a guy seems to remedy the problem via the use of sex and that is not real life...at least not for this reviewer. Also, a guy straight gets vulgar to a woman and yet she ends up 'in love' with him by the end of a movie. I saw that one coming in the very beginning. Too cliche. Happens all the time; good, bad, and/or ugly man always gets top notched babe at the end. Yeah...
Regardless, it is a good 'adult' movie with tons of dialogue that if you weren't listening, you would miss. The script was the bomb!
Had child and adult humor all wrapped in one movie. This is the first animation that I will buy when it comes out on DVD. It never got boring and always kept you seeking what's next. Not much else can be said about this movie other than it was just all out a great one.
Again, another movie that justifies the wrong doings of women and the wrong doings of men.
These ladies ban together even if one of them does wrong, all the while, their wrongs are done because of what...a man.
Two wrongs don't make a right.
I'm just tired of the male bashing and wish that there could be some movies about both sexes doing something right or if they do something wrong, they take responsibility for their own doings instead of blaming the opposite sex for it.
This movie has all good ratings, but I see why...my other rating got cut and didn't make it. Let's see what happens with this one...
