To my relief, the story followed the book quite well. I've been a fan of the books forever, and was one of the many loyal readers to roll their eyes when the movie announcement came out. The good news: scenes flowed like ink to paper seamlessly, with CGI having only one or two choppy "monster" moments. The bad news is blatent aim to a specific demographic. I could count on one hand how many scenes Taylor Lautner had his shirt ON. When things slowed down in the plot, one long angle shot of Kristen Stewart looking pouty lipped and confused usually did the trick of filling down time. Do not expect a good soundtrack, fast love scenes, or a lack of hairgel.
