If you were a big fan of the X-Files series pre-conspiracy theory, you will like this movie. I would have liked it to be something along the lines of the really early stuff like the mothman episode or aliens or other similar paranormal/creepy genre, but overall I wasn't disappointed that I spent the money to see it. It was good in that it filled in some of the blanks about what happened to Mulder and Scully after the FBI, and you got to see some familiar faces from the series.
That said there was none of the jump out your seat creepy stuff, but there was plenty of Mulder's dry sense of humor, sexual tension between the two and a really good story line. What made me happiest was that it had nothing to do with conspiracy theory -- you didn't have to work your brain to recall what happened years ago, which most of the fans of the show hated anyway. Overall -- go see if you're a fan, but skip it if you weren't into the show.
