Sorry...this movie is tooooo long. What it reminded me of is the white man taking over the American Indian lands. This time the Indians won. I heard that this could be up for an Oscar. Certainly for the scenic stuff, but for acting...please. It is so easy to mesmerize the crowds with flash and dazzle.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I think this version of the Dicken's classic was wonderful. It is defnitely not for younger children as there are a few really scary scenes.
Jim Carrey's voice is unrecognizible in all of his characterizations. He does a perfect job as Scrooge. The nitpickers will find things to complain about, but all in all a movie that should be a must see for the Holiday season. The 3D was fun but really unnecessary to the story itself. I will be seeing it again and adding to my holiday collection when out on DVD.

Finally a perfectly charming movie

Was very surprised at this movie. I love Ricky Gervais but was totally blown away by his range of emotion. You end up just loving him. Greg Kinnear is a lovable louse. Laughed, cried and enjoyed completely. Oh yes, loved the great dane. A worthy film to see in the theater.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
