If you're into hokey and sexy and old time romance then this is the movie for you. This movie had everything....fabulous scenery, bar fights, cattle rustling, mysticism, ship rescue, kissing, bad men, hairy chests, snobbery, kissing, good teeth, bigotry, orphans, kissing and a happy ending with justice for all.
About 1/2 hour too long...but if you can leave your criticism at the door go take the Aussie ride.

Leave reality at the door and give yourself over to a fun time from beginning to end. Downey is the perfect non-hero hero. A bearded, bald Jeff Bridges was believable as the double dealing, double crossing villain. And every hero needs a villain. Go see it, but some scenes may be too violent for the kiddies.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
